My old clubs were the mid series Big Bertha and I shoot in the mid 80’s. Played Ping G10 graphite for past 4 years. Find them a bit less forgiving than Pings but longer due to stronger lofts. These are my pros and cons. Thank you, your review has been submitted successfully and will be included on the page once approved. If it wasn’t for the poor side hill lie playability I would have rated these clubs 5 stars. Still very good clubs overall. They were also very forgiving to hit with a lovely feel and sound and the uniflex steel shaft helped deliver a powerful strike.
Cons – poor side hill lie playability; almost no feedback from off center hits which is typical of many perimeter weighted clubs.
Tom agreed, insisting the thicker topline gave him more confidence but the lack of offset meant it performed like a very traditional blade. However, the blade length is excellent and combined with a slightly thicker top edge this will appeal to a lot of good golfers. The RAZR X irons feature a low, raxr centre of gravity that delivers high launch combined with long shots off the thin face.

Callaway RAZR X Irons Review – Golfalot
The Better Player category, more than any other, will come down to personal preference of the testers but there was one iron on test that seemed to combine everything our team was looking for in an iron designed for competent golfers. Gained approx yards extra distance per club. By submitting a review you agree to be bound by our terms and conditions. Not too bad out of the rough either. The clubs look good, sound good and have added yards to my shots, dropped my handicap from 15 to 13 since switching.

The iron was designed with feedback from Callaway’s Tour stars, leading to the confidence inspiring topline, narrow sole and short blade length along with a higher, squared-off toe and the sharper leading edge. Forged Carbon Steel produces soft feel and incredibly responsive feedback at impact. However, the slightly thicker topline gazr the cavity in the rear of the head meant Jon found this had all the benefits of a Better Player iron but with quite a lot of forgiveness.
Easy to hit straight shots, and even got a rzzr draw going when required, and hardly any slices. Please try again later!

The clubs are very forgiving and I would not hesitate in recommending these clubs to mid-handicappers. There are a lot of grooves on the face and I know why they have done it but I think some people might find it a little offputting because it looks very different to other irons.
Dave Connor also felt the offset in the long irons might put off lower handicappers. User Reviews Dan G. Pros – Club looks great with good feel and sound; fairly easy to hit the ball high and far; excellent weight clalaway from one club to the next; off center hits are very forgiving; formidable weapons from the rough.
